Widening of Tedim Road in Lamka Town – Who’s Responsibility?
If you ask every individual who passes through the congested Tedim Road in Lamka town about widening the road, I hope 99 per cent would agree to the proposal. Everyone knows that it is congested and needs to be widened and road divider needs to be installed.
Lamka town, as we know is the meeting junction for all the people of the district. It is the main town of market linkage for all types of business from far and near. We all know that the existing road width is not adequate to accommodate increased density of traffic. Pavements are narrow, disconnected and occupied by shop owners. Human and vehicles have to fight for space on the road. There is no road proper dividers and all the turning points are as narrow as that of IVRs.

Sharing a piece of views on Chin National Day or Zomi Nam Ni
The 72nd National Day of the Chin people, an ethnic minority group in the Union of Myanmar will be celebrated on the 20th February 2020 at many places all over the world.
On the 20th February each year, the Chin community commemorate the event of 1948, when the General Assembly of Chinland was held in Falam. At the assembly, 5000 representatives voted to overturn their traditional feudal system and adopt democracy for electing local and state leaders. Thus 20th February is marked as the day the political power in Chin land was handed over from autocratic rulers to the Chin people - the day the Chin first enjoyed true freedom and democracy.
When the Chin community in Myanmar meaningfully celebrate this auspicious occasion in commemoration of transfer of power to the people, what is the meaning of celebrating in India where our traditional feudal system is still in place? A lop a i lopta ngal ua ahileh, tualangte banga khochin a mipi vaihawmna umtheina dinga awareness zong i bawl ua hoi hilou amah?
You may say that, we are part and parcel of the Chin Community at large, it is indeed an absolute truth in general, but in particular, we are divided by an International Boundaries where the systems are no longer the same, we are still at the stage on or before 1948 AD in India compare to our brothers in Myanmar.
The purpose of this write up is here:
WILL IT NOT BE GOOD TO STRIVE FOR THE SAME HERE AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE INTERNATIONAL BOUNDARY?
