Who is clever? Teacher or student??????????.............

One Night 4 College Students Were Playing Till Late Night and Didn't Study For The Test Which Was Scheduled For The Next Day.

In the morning they thought of a plan. They made themselves look as dirty and weird with grease and dirt. They then went up to the Dean and said that they had gone out to a wedding last night and on their return the Tyre of their car burst and they had to push the car all the way back and that they were in no condition to appear for the test.

So the Dean said they can have the re-test after 3 days. They thanked him and said they will be ready by that time. On the third day they appeared before the Dean. The Dean said that as this was a Special Condition Test, All four were required to sit in separate classrooms for the test.

The unfair Delhi traffic policeman and my displeasure

One thing that always comes in my mind, not every second or every minute or every hour but every moment I stop my vehicle at any traffic points, I was so displeased with the behavior of one traffic policeman who was posted at Defence Colony market and Kotla Mubarakpur junction’s traffic point. I often witness people/drivers always crossing the zebra points, even crossing over the zebra sign and stopping their vehicle beyond that sign. The traffic Police noticed but did not say anything.

As usual, one day I come for my office, I was a little bit late on that day, there were a few vehicles plying on the road since it was a little late for office timing. While reaching Kotla Mubarakpur traffic point, the traffic red light glowed and I stop my vehicle right on the zebra crossing and pullback till the wheel did not touch the sign. And most of the vehicles stop parallel to my line.

When I met Shahnaz Hussain - Putting India on the Cosmetic World

I guess the world knows who Shahnaz Hussain is and what she is doing. I do heard her name from friends and jounals. I have a zeal to at-least see face-to-face most of the prominent personalities of the corporate world.  Though it is not a face to face, I have met some of the Indian Film Star turn politicians in the Parliament House and some other place.

It was on September 27, 2009 I happened to met Cosmetics Queen Shahnaz Hussain at the Saket DLF City Place's Select City Walk where Thailand Pavilion was set up. Though it was a matter of a minute, I could realized what kind of a person she is. Being a Cosmetics Queen, she acted as if she has no idea of what cosmetics and its ingredians. My better-half Irene was selling cosmetics made in Thailand which is same as that of India. She - the cosmetic queen inquire of its ingredians, way of using and its uses.

*More about Shahnaz Hussain*

She is one of the most prominent personalities of the corporate world. She is making a constant effort to beautify the skin of people with her beauty products. She has been continuously striving hard to slow down the aging process and nourish the skin of people and thus make them look younger than their age. Well, we are talking about none other than the ruler of the beauty world, Shahnaz Hussain. In this article, we will present you with the biography of Shahnaz Hussain.

The Wooden Bowl - That change the family

I guarantee you will remember the tale of the Wooden Bowl tomorrow,
a week from now, a month from now, a year from now.
A frail old man went to live with his Son, Daughter-in- law, and four-year-old Grandson.
The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered
The family ate together at the table.
But the elderly Grandfather' s shaky hands and failing sight made eating difficult.
Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor.
When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tablecloth.
The Son and Daughter-in- law became irritated with the mess.
'We must do something about Father,' said the son.
'I have had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor.'
So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner.
There, Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner.
Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl.
When the family glanced in Grandfather' s direction, sometimes he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone..
Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food.
The four-year-old watched it all in silence.

What Mizoram needs at the moment – English Daily newspaper

By T. Zamlunmang Zou, New Delhi

Mizoram, the only Zo govern state in India is full of interesting and beautiful tourist spots. Thousands and thousands of travelers visits this sate every year. This is the place where beautiful festivals and concerts can be observed throughout the year. In-spite of all these attractions and activities, Mizoram is lacking in one very crucial and important tools which is the instrument to expose to the outside world. That is English Daily Newspaper, printed or online.

Another worth noting point of Mizoram is the love of their language. It is a state not like the other Indian states, every residence speaks Mizo language. You may be speaking Hindi, Urdu, Tamil or Marathi, once you landed in Mizoram, you need to learn Mizo, because the local people will talk to you only with their language.

There used to be a joke that every Zo people is familiar with regarding the love of their language by Mizos.

“A Mizo boy who recently come New Delhi went to a shop to buy some eatable, he talk to the shopkeeper in his own language, when the shopkeeper din’t understand, he said, - I thring lutuk (So uncivilized)”

Mizos have a number of daily and weekly newspaper, hundreds of online blogs, unfortunately no English journal.

Mizo Print Media

As written in the Mizoram Govt site, The advent of satellite and cable T.Vs, together with introduction of more sophisticated printing technology and computers have, in a way transformed Media in Mizoram. Their impact is clearly visible in newspapers in terms of contents as well as in terms of appearance. With competition on the rise, the principle of ’survival of the fittest’ trend has seemed to set in particularly in the capital city. From the previous 40 or so number of government approved newspapers, regular circulation of the newspapers have come down to 26 in Aizawl, 9 in Lunglei and 7 in Chhimtuipui districts only. The principal dailies in Aizawl are :- Mizo Aw, Romei, Mizo Arsi, Dingdi, Newslink,Thupuan, Rahbi, Vanglaini, Aizawl Post, Hnehtu, Highlander. Of these, Highlander and Newslink are published in English. The state government has given press accreditation to 77 journalists including press-photographers and T.V. Cameramen. An interesting development, however, is the increase of news magazines lately. News Magazines of sports, music etc. have come up large numbers of about 35 or more in Aizawl. (Courtesy: mizoram.nic.in | For more details about Media in Mizoram, see this MEDIA)

Based on Mizoram Census 2001 Provision Figure, Mizoram has the total population of 8,91,058, where female is 4,31,275 and male is 4,59,783 with the total area of 21,087 Sq Kms where its literacy rate is 88.49 comprising of 8 District, 26 Block, 23 Sub – Division and 3 Autonomous District Council is lacking in English daily newspaper.

The demand for English Daily Newspaper from the states like Mizoram and the rest of the North East state is very high. It is mainly due to the mass migration of the students to other states. It is also, one of the best way to expose our needs, developments, regions and talents to the Indians in particular and the wirld in general.

Ka Zuo It | Late Rev. T. Kamzakhup Zou (1930 – 1979)

My beloved papa is the eldest son of my grand pa, Pu Awnkhawm. He was born in between 1920 and 30 (the exact date and year could not be traced) at T. Singtam Village, Churachandpur District, Manipur. When he was only 20 years old, he became one of the founding Executive Member of Simte Christian Association and later Evangelical Christian Association. He shifted to Daijang Village in search of better livelihood when he was round about 30 years old. In 1954 February 20, he became the Founding General Secretary of the Jou Christian Association (JCA) at Daijang Village. This JCA’s Golden Jubilee was celebrated on 20th February 2004 at Zomi Colony under the conductorship of his youngest son.

On May 21, 1957 he became an evangelist and married my lovely mother, Niengzadim in 1959. He finished G. Th. (Graduate in Theology) under Aizawl Theological College in 1973, and ordained as a Pastor in 1978.

Not long after his ordination as a pastor, he left this suffering world for his heavenly abode on on May 3, 1979.

Local Church Movement under JCA led by My Father

Things Fall Apart: Social Crisis

The pagan Sakhua religion was under direct assault in Southern Manipur with the establishment of NEIG Mission at Old Churachand (Mission Compound) in 1930. The Paite, Hmar and Thadou tribes were among the earliest advocates of the Christian conversion. Along with the Simte, the Zou tribe was slow in responding to new ideas ushered in by the Christian mission. Perhaps due to their anti-colonial legacy, the Zous became the last bastion of pagan "Sakhua" in the area. Though cultural rootness has it own merits, it was a setback from modernization point of view. By the 1950s, there were a handful of Christian converts among the Zous too. But the Zou converts were disorganised and scattered. The new Zou Christian converts joined different dialectal groups, especially the Paite and Thado Christian groups. Among the intelligent sections of the Zou, there was a strong desire to stem the tide of this social crisis. Their solution was to embrace the Church Movement by preserving the unity of the Zou community ironically through mass conversion.

Winds of Change: Social Renewal

A migrant from Mawngawn village, Pu Kam Za Khup became a resident of Daizang village since 1951. His arrival in Daizang made that village a hub of Christian activities in the 1950s. Despite his humble occupation as a peasant, Kam Za Khup appeared to be a born reformer. He was consumed with zeal to initiate a local church movement among his tribes-people – the Zou dialect community. When he moved into Daizang in 1951, there were reportedly just four Christian villages out of the total sixty-six Zou villages. Enthused with the challenge of initiating a new movement, this layman shared his social vision with his confidant named Thawng Za Khup. Both jointly managed to bring the village elders for a public discussion at Tuaitengphai in 1952. But nothing concrete came out of the meeting. Still undaunted, Pu Kam Za Khup continued his campaign for a cause close to his heart. The reformist duo (Kam Za Khup and Thawng Za Khup) would excitedly talk about their future project even while working in the wet rice field.

The preliminary Tuaitengphai Meet 1953

There seemed to be a lot of spade work before the historic JCA Conference could be convened on 20 February 1954. A preliminary meeting was held at Tuaitengphai village on the occasion of ‘Haitha’ (First Fruit) festival in which the villages of Daizang, Boh Lui and Khiang Lam were scheduled to participate; but the last two did not turned up. The outcome of all those untiring discussions and persuasions was the staging of a partially successful joint meeting between Daizang and Tuaitengphai in 1953. That, in turn, provided a solid foundation for a more spectacular success. It actually became a prelude to the historic JCA meeting at Daizang on 20 February 1954 (see JCA Minute Book

The historic Daizang JCA Conference 1954

Some intelligent Zou youngsters organised on 20 Feb. 1954 the first Zou Conference at Daizang village. The JCA (Jou Christian Association) conference deliberated on issues related to the social and religious life of the community. The JCA agenda was not exclusively religious. Besides Pu Kamzakhup, the pillars of the JCA in its initial days were the three educated figures of Pu Thawng Hang, Pu Sem Kho Pau, and Pu Kai Za Kham. The triple leaders were still students at Imphal at that point of time, and they were entrusted with the task of drafting a ‘Constitution’ for JCA, which was finally adopted at the Daizang assembly. This historic conference accelerated mass conversion to Christian faith into an irreversible social movement within the Zou community. Ironically, such collective conversion did not necessarily led to de-tribilization. This strategy rather ensured the viability of "tribal identity" under changing conditions.

Finally, one may wonder: where did Pu Kam Za Khup catch his Gospel fire? The clue lies in his early residence at Mawngawn village. The social environment of Mawngawn in the 1940s – swept by waves of Christian conversion – must have contributed significantly to the making of this Zou social reformer.

All about Twitter - an easy way to buzz your traffic

Image representing Twitter as depicted in Crun...Image via CrunchBase

Twitter is a privately funded startup with offices in the SoMA neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. Started as a side project in March of 2006, Twitter has grown into a real-time short messaging service that works over multiple networks and devices.

In countries all around the world, people follow the sources most relevant to them and access information via Twitter as it happens—from breaking world news to updates from friends. See what people are doing right now.

Where did the idea for Twitter come from?

Jack Dorsey had grown interested in the simple idea of being able to know what his friends were doing. Specifically, Jack wondered if there might be an opportunity to build something compelling around this simple status concept. When he brought the idea up to his colleagues, it was decided that a prototype should be built.

Twitter was funded initially by Obvious, a creative environment in San Francisco, CA. The first prototype was built in two weeks in March 2006 and launched publicly in August of 2006. The service grew popular very quickly and it soon made sense for Twitter to move outside of Obvious. In May 2007, Twitter Incorporated was founded.

Why do so many people seem to like Twitter?

Simplicity has played an important role in Twitter's success. People are eager to connect with other people and Twitter makes that simple. Twitter asks one question, "What are you doing?" Answers must be under 140 characters in length and can be sent via mobile texting, instant message, or the web.

Twitter's core technology is a device agnostic message routing system with rudimentary social networking features. By accepting messages from sms, web, mobile web, instant message, or from third party API projects, Twitter makes it easy for folks to stay connected.

Isn't Twitter just too much information?

No, in fact, Twitter solves information overload by changing expectations traditionally associated with online communication. At Twitter, we ask one question, "What are you doing?" The answers to this question are for the most part rhetorical. In other words, users do not expect a response when they send a message to Twitter. On the receiving end, Twitter is ambient--updates from your friends and relatives float to your phone, IM, or web site and you are only expected to pay as much or as little attention to them as you see fit.

The result of using Twitter to stay connected with friends, relatives, and coworkers is that you have a sense of what folks are up to but you are not expected to respond to any updates unless you want to. This means you can step in and out of the flow of information as it suits you and it never queues up with increasing demand of your attention. Additionally, users are very much in control of whose updates they receive, when they receive them, and on what device. For example, we provide settings for scheduling Twitter to automatically turn off at dinnertime and users can switch off Twitter updates at any point.

Simply put, Twitter is what you make of it--receive a lot of information about your friends, or just a tiny bit. It's up to them.

How is Twitter built?

Our engineering team works with a web application framework called Ruby on Rails. We all work on macintosh computers except for testing purposes. Our web site and user interface were designed using Omnigraffle and Photoshop.

We built Twitter using Ruby on Rails because it allows us to work quickly and easily--our team likes to deploy features and changes multiple times per day. Rails provides skeleton code frameworks so we don't have to re-invent the wheel every time we want to add something simple like a sign in form or a picture upload feature.

How do you make money from Twitter?

Twitter has many appealing opportunities for generating revenue but we are holding off on implementation for now because we don't want to distract ourselves from the more important work at hand which is to create a compelling service and great user experience for millions of people around the world. While our business model is in a research phase, we spend more money than we make.

What's next for Twitter?

We continue to follow user behavior and pay close attention to feature requests. We launched our mobile site, m.twitter.com after getting lots of requests for this feature. However, we are also very much guided by our philosophy of keeping things simple and intuitive so we like to restrain ourselves with regard to features. That being said, people seem to be calling for more interesting ways to share feedback with one another and organize themselves and their updates into groups--we're paying attention to these requests.

We plan to build Twitter, Inc into a successful, revenue-generating company that attracts world-class talent with an inspiring culture and attitude towards doing business.

MP Election 2009 | Attacking for the top post, is it the way it should be?

Official_BJP_WebsiteImage by Gauravonomics via Flickr

India's MP Election is in our hands now. The campaignings are in full swing. Innitially, the campaigning manners were very healthy and constructive. When the D-day is fast approaching, the campaigning method has totally changed froma healthy and constructive method to a personal attacks. I guess you guys all must be aware of what I am talking. The opposition leader LK Advani used to call the PM, the weakest PM India ever had. Recently, the PM brass back at the opp. leader saying 'Iron man melted during hijack drama (kandahar)'.

My question is, is it the way it should be? Can we call it a mature debate for the top post?

In my opinion, national leaders should not indulge in such a shameful acts, instead they should talk about the future plants, what they would do for the country, what they can do for the Indian economy, unemployment problems, recession, foreign trade relationships.

Their current issue, Terorrism - terorrism has no boundary, they can be somehow prevented, but not always, they can strike any part of the world, it can be during the tenure of the BJP, Congress, BSP, LJP or any party. They dealt with the terorrist accordingly. it sould not come up in election times. Dealing with terorrism cannot be the same every time, there may be time that the govt need to give up something in order to save lives, there may be times that the govt can hit back with no mercy. It will depend on the time and place or the stituation. I dont think it is worth to be the main topic for the election campaign.

Again, we the people of Great India, we are easily convinced with those dirty tricks of personal attacks. We should judge the government by their workdone and menifestoes.

TWITTER

Twitter is a privately funded startup with offices in the SoMA neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. Started as a side project in March of 2006, Twitter has grown into a real-time short messaging service that works over multiple networks and devices.

In countries all around the world, people follow the sources most relevant to them and access information via Twitter as it happens—from breaking world news to updates from friends

My valentines letter to my sweet darling

Irene Tungnung, My Darling

I dont know where to start and where to conclude,
I dont know how to express and how to show;
I dont know what to say and what not to,
I dont know, I am like a dumb cant start to speak out;
But I do have thousands of love stories to tell.

Times passes and the seas rolls on,
Its been long time, so long ago;
I have wanted to express how deep my love;
On this valentines day, my melted heart overflows,
Overflowing with my love for you.

I love you from the bottom of my heart,
Unfathomable is the love that is in me;
Its so deep, unmeasureable,
So high, none in this world could touch;
So wide, none can cover and,
What what a wonderful love.

One of the Zogam.Com's comments on UKLF Decrees saying "Zomis constitute mainly only Paites". My response

Zou cultural troupe in full traditional attireImage via Wikipedia

I am one of the many regular commentator on Zogam.Com. I love this site and sometimes contribute articles related to Zomu nationalism and others. I was so shocked when I come across one member's comment, saying "Zomis constitute mainly only Paites" on the news item "UKLF Decrees" about Zoumi Nami Festival. I was so sad when I saw the above quoted line while I think the Zous, Simtes, Vaipheis, Koms are also apart of Zomi. I was convinced that I should pen down at least a paragraph or two about the Zou's sacrifices.

I guess the above paragraph might confuse you. I am going to talk about the Zou tribe in particular. The Zou tribe in India is previously known with the organization names such as United Zomi Organisation, Zomi Sangnaupang Pawlpi and Zomi Youth Organisation. It is the Zou people that always cherish and carry on the name of the Zomi in India. The Zou people, if they are all like me, must be very proud to have sacrificed their age-old organisations for the sake of brotherhood among the Pu Zo descendants.

I guess our ancestors Pu Zo must be very proud of the Zou people, who were not ashamed of their name even when the others, who are unaware of the belonging called them in any ugly remarks. The Zous are the only tribe in India who braced and accept Zomi as their nomenclature. The Zou people used Zomi as their name from 1953 (see UZO Reports here ). By that time most of the present Zo people (Zomi) except the Zous were ashamed to be called Zo or Zomi. You know why? Because they did not know their whereabouts and origin.

Oncce I Was Called Zomi, Now Zou

Once I was called Zomi Sangnaupang Pawlpi, but now I am call Zou Sangnaupang Pawlpi, Once I was called United Zomi Organization, but now I am call United Zou Organization. Once I was called Zomi Youth Organization, but now I am call Zou Youth Organization. Once I was called Zo naptol, now, everyone is fighting for the name of Zo. For a short sighted visionaries, the changing of these age-old names might be hard to embraced, but when they come to know the real meaning of it, they are proud to sacrificed their belongings for the cause of brotherhood.

One very big question

If we really realized we are the descendants of our ancestor Pu Zo, why don't we accept the already existed names for our apex body? United Zomi Organisation was initially form to be the single administrative umbrella of the Zomis in the world. That is why UNITED was added. If it is only for the Zou people, no need of putting UNITED. The founding fathers of the UZO had given the name UNITED for all of us. My point is, if we really realized and accept the name Zo or Zomi, why cant we just accept United Zomi Organisation and our apex administrative body. From the beginning, If there is any proposal in this regards, I hope the Zou people who can sacrificed would not hesitate to do so. It shows that there is something in our Zomism/ Zominisation or Zomi Nationalism.

Now and Then

The Zomi movement of Pu. T. Gougin era and the present era have so vast differences in terms of existence and aims and objectives. The Zomi National Congress which has reached every nook and corner of the Zogam/Zoram, and which movement has been recognized as an ideal movement by multitude of the so called Zo hnahtlaks (Zo descendants) was founded for the sole purpose of uniting all the Zo descendants of the world. It was well accepted by the Chins of Burma, Zomis of India, Kukis, Mizos, Hmars, etc. It was even accepted and helped by the Indian Government. It has its offices in Manipur, Mizoran, etc. But, there were some people who did not accept the movement, but now realized the importance and try to invent (or have invented) a movement of their own to replace the age-long movement, instead of reviving/restoring the age-long movement. You know why?

Zolengthe.Net & ZouWorkshop shows

The current movement is not a popular support on the part of the Zous, but supported by some high ranking politicians for their personal gains. This is proven by the fact that 91% of the anonymous voters of the Zou Workshop Forum and 81% of the anonymous voters of the Zolengthe.Net disapproved the Zomi movement (before some sort of customary compromises has been made). This shows how painful were the hatred and annihilation that has been injected in the hearts and minds of our people. The movement is not a popular support, but supported by some of our politicians for their personal gains.

2007 & 2008 Zolengthe Survey

We are settling with different tribes and in different localities, villages, districts, states and nations. To put this in a very compact format, we are living in different localities of Lamka - New Lamka, Zomi Colony, Zoveng, Kamdou veng, Tuibuang, Nehru Marg, Simveng, Hmuia Veng, Chiengkon, Phailien, Zellang veng etc. If we want to belong to either side of the very opposing forces, we will suffer a blow from the other side of the tribe. Support Zomi council; your people is going to suffer in Kamdou veng, Tuibuang, Sugnu road area, Chandel, etc. Support Kuki movement; your people is going to suffer in New Lamka, Simveng, Beulahlane, Teddim road area, Guite road area, etc. Therefore, the best option for the minority Zou tribe in Manipur is ....................................... (I leave it blank to be fill in by the readers).

Note for readers: This article should not be taken in the opposite or negetive sense. I am just jotting down what I had observed and dispersing my humble thoughts. I pray that, this article might serve as that of an important corner stone for the completion of Jerusalem wall.

When Everything Seems Gone, The Gospel is still there!

Testimony album coverImage via Wikipedia
TThis is the testimony from my deceased brother. I wanna share this great testimony with the whole world.

My brother, that is my elder brother was a good and kind hearted person. He is a kind of person who cannot say not to drugs. When he was in the high school, he come to contact with his school mates. Oneday, his friends invited him to have smething that he have not touch in his life. He could resisted in the first time, but fall to its trap in the following days. He keep on doing it, and become 100% drug addict.

Gospel choirImage by courgettelawn via Flickr

He try to behave himself in front of our dear father and mother, he however failed one day. After a few years of his practice. His days were counted on the bed. He regreeted but useless. My mom keep on praying that he might be bron again. He even said that everything is gone and the world is meaningless to him.

One day on his sick bed, he wanna pray to God and ask for his forgiveness. He did and after two days of his intense thinking about his worthless living, he suddenly burst out of joy and said "Gos is good, he died for me and saved me" after that he closed his eyes and died.

Here is my point: Everything seems to be meaningless and you may be thinking of releasing your life, may be you hate your life and wanna kill yourself. You may think that no one in this world loves you. You may think that the world hates you. But, there is a big but because of the Loving God. He is always there for you. Gos is there for you even the world turn its back from you. God loves you even your friend, families and church hates you.
