Online Profits Contest: Win a Free Membership

Many people wrote emails to congratulate me for the launch of the Online Profits training program, saying that they think it is a excellent course, and that they would love to join, but they don’t have the funds to be able to.

Thinking about that I decided to run a contest giving away 10 free memberships (each one worth $288). Those free memberships will give you full access to the training program for 6 months.

How to Participate

The memberships will be given away in a random draw. In order to get your name included on the draw, all you have to do is to write a blog posts about Online Profits. There are no other requirements. You don’t need to write a positive review or anything.

If only 10 people end up writing the post, you automatically win. Even if 20 people enter the contest, you still have 50% chances of winning, and so on.

On the homepage of the site you can see all the information about the mentors, the training program, and the frequently asked questions. If you are sure you are going to write the post, I can also send you lessons 1 and 2 by email so that you can review the learning content (just email me asking for those).

The only limitation is this one: only one entry per person (not per blog), and only blogs with 50 or more RSS subscribers (to avoid people creating blogs today just to enter into the contest).

The Random Draw

The random draw will be done via the Random.org website, on Saturday (January 17). If you guys want I can also record a screencast while doing it to make the process transparent.

Northeast leads in terror casualties but Central eyes on J&K

India- composed of thousands of tribes is experiencing different types of national or regional movements. Among them, some of the notable movement by an insurgent group is Jamu and Kashmir. While the Central government pay a maximum attention in the hill state of J&K, casualties due to insurgency is maximum in the opposite site i.e. the North East of India. As reported by IANS.

India's restive northeastern region saw the maximum number of fatalities in terror strikes in 2008, surpassing Jammu and Kashmir in the latest figures released by an independent security think tank.

The northeast, particularly Assam and Manipur, has turned into a veritable killing field with the region accounting for 1,057 deaths compared to 539 casualties in Kashmir in the past year.

According to the South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP), a New Delhi-based security analysis agency, Assam reported 372 fatalities while the death toll in Manipur was 500, second only to Kashmir, which recorded 539 deaths.

The SATP figures show that the total number of deaths in the northeast has increased from 640 in 2006 to 1,057 in 2008.

And most of the casualties in the northeastern states like Assam, Manipur, and Tripura were in towns and cities with urban terrorism rearing its ugly head in a new trend.

Manipur, the state where I hail from produce(s) almost fifty insurgent groups. SATP listed the following insugent groups from Manipur.

I am in the opinion that, if the Government of India pay equal attention in the NE Indian states as that of Jammu and Kashmir, there would be no insurgent or there would be atleast some outcome in the NE region.

FIRST STORY

The Stock Market simply illustrated.... is there a lesson here?

Once upon a time in a village, a man appeared and announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for Rs10. The villagers seeing that there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them. The man bought thousands at Rs10 and as supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their effort. He further announced that he would now buy at Rs20.

This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again. Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms. The offer rate increased to Rs25 and the supply of monkeys became so little that it was an effort to even see a monkey let alone catch it.

The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at Rs50! However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would now buy on behalf of him. In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers. Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has collected. I will sell them to you at Rs35 and when the man returns from the city, you can sell it to him for Rs50." The villagers squeezed up with all their savings to buy the monkeys. Then they never saw the man nor his assistant, only monkeys everywhere!! !! –

SECOND STORY

It was autumn, and the Red Indians asked their New Chief if the winter was going to be cold or mild. Since he was a Red Indian chief in a modern society, he couldn't tell what the weather was going to be. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he replied to his Tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect wood to be prepared.

But also being a practical leader, after several days he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked "Is the coming winter going to be cold?" "It looks like this winter is Going to be quite cold indeed," the meteorologist at the weather service Responded.

So the Chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more Wood. A week later, he called the National Weather Service again. "Is it going to be a very cold winter?" "Yes," the man at National Weather Service again replied, "It's definitely going to be a very cold winter."

The Chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of wood they could find. Two weeks later, he called the National Weather Service again. "Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?" "Absolutely," The Man replied.

"It's going to be one of the coldest winters ever."

"How can you be so sure?" the Chief asked. The weatherman replied, "The Red Indians are collecting wood like Crazy."

Revisiting the year 2008 & Kum 2009 etlawhna

I am in a dilemma, what to call the past year 2008. Whatever it may be, things keep on changing, winds blows and often changed its directions. The year 2008 have a rugged and smooth records in the Zou society in Delhi and NCR.

We all know what 2008 had impact on you and me, and also on our society. For some, it may be the year of success, changes or may be it is a heart broken year for others. Here, what I wanted to emphasize is that, let us all look into a new world, let us all shun our differences and try to follow the same tune of the society chorus.

My New Year Resolutions for 2009

Give, and it will be given to you

This is not about money or goods. Read in context it makes the meaning apparent. Luke 6:35-38: "But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. "Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."

This has nothing to do with giving money to be more blessed. It has to do with mercy and grace. It is given to your bosom, the inner man to make you filled. If you give another mercy or grace it will be given to you. If you are a gracious forgiving person in your life when it is necessary, then God will bless you with the same.

07. Remember Thy Creator: The most important resolution. the first and the last to everything is to remember your God. Try to read your Bible everyday, try to maintain your fellowship with God once a day. Try to attend every Sunday Worship services. Try to give back just one-thenth of what God has given you.

Natioanl boxer MC Mary Kom and National Papers' eyes wide shut

India’s M C Mary Kom re-asserted her status as the world’s most successful woman boxer clinching an unprecedented fourth successive gold medal but India failed to retain the team crown at the fifth AIBA World Championships in China.

The 25-year-old out-punched Romania’s Steluta Duta 7-1 to grab India’s only gold medal at the event.

The Manipuri boxer remained away from the ring for two years to take care of her twin babies after completing a hat-trick of World Championship golds in New Delhi.

The pint-sized pugilist returned to don the gloves this year at the Asian Championships, in September, where she failed to retain her gold, settling for a silver medal.

She claimed the National title earlier this month before leaving for the World Championship.

Inspite of her worthy recognition achievements, the national papers turn their eyes away from her. Just after the anouncement of her 4th World Title, I was searching for the announcements from all national paper online. The next day I keep on searching for Mary Kom on almost 15 Natioanl papers, non of them give a front page as they usually gave to other sports persons.

World Chess Champion Viswanathan, Abhinav Bindra's Olympic Gold, Vishy Anand's 3rd World title, Twin wins in Oz: Perth & CB series, Chennai chase of 387 vs England, India qualifies for Asia Cup football, Saina becomes World Jr Champ, Vijender & Sushil's Olympic Bronze, Jeev wins Singapore Open golf, Sachin breaks Lara's record and etc. etc. earned all the front pages of our national papers. But, when MC Mary Kom won India's 4th World Champion Boxing title, no news paper dare to spare a front page.

Do we call this a biasless papers, Is MC Mary Kom's Medal not an Indian fame??

A four-time world champion, MC Mary Kom has never been considered worthy for Khel Ratna and disturbed by the apathy, the Manipuri - arguably world's most successful woman boxer - is asking what more she needs to do to get the country's highest sporting honour.

"I have won the World Championship four times on the trot. (Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh) Dhoni gets a Khel Ratna for winning just one World Cup, I fail to understand why am I being ignored then. How can anybody expect an athlete to stay motivated if he or she is ignored like that?" Mary Kom said in an interview on Monday.

The pin weight pugilist, who clinched a fourth world title in the fifth edition of the event in Ningbo City, China, managed the feat despite being away from the ring for two years after becoming a mother.

Hurt at being ignored twice for the award, Mary Kom says even more disturbing than that is the sheer ignorance about the sport in which she competes.

"Last year, when my name was recommended by the federation, I had been shortlisted along with Dhoni but (Arjuna awards selection committee chairman) Milkha Singh struck off my name saying that he did not know which sport I competed in. That hurt me terribly," she revealed.

"I want to ask him today, how many more titles do I have to win for him and for the country to believe that I deserve the honour?" she asked.

"Don't give me the award if you think I am not worthy but please don't insult me with statements like that. It angers me. People should be encouraging but they are not and I have accepted it as part of life," she said.

The Indian Boxing Federation says it would push for her case yet again next year and is confident of becoming third time lucky.

"We will once again recommend her. Evey time, she has been sidelined but this time she should get the honour. She is special and her achievements are unparalleled," IBF General secretary Col PKM Raja said.

Mary Kom, meanwhile, is busy chalking out her plans for future and is keeping her fingers crossed for women's boxing inclusion in the 2010 Asian Games and Commonwealth Games.

"I am looking forward to training hard now and hope that women's boxing is included in the 2010 Asian and Commonwealth Games so that I can add to the medals that I have won. My ultimate dream is to represent the country in the Olympic Games and hopefully that dream would realise in London 2012," she said.

Attending camps and tournaments means staying away from her young family but Mary Kom says she can bank on her husband's support to make sure that her twin boys are not neglected.

"It feels terrible to leave the kids behind but my husband has made sure that I don't have to worry about my boys. They are well taken care of when I am not around. We have planned everything and it does not disturb my family life," she said.

The Manipuri said despite the hurdles she is determined to continue and refused to set a date for her retirement. "I will continue till the time I am motivated," she signed off.

Zolengthe.net conducted an opinion poll on the choice of the nomenclatures which are being imposed on the Zo decendants by a foreigners. These nomenclatures are known as Kuki and Chin. On the other hand, the Zomi and Mizo are in a vice versa arrangement. The question of the poll goes...

Which nomenclature is politically acceptable in your opinion?

Amazingly, out of 52 opinions, 46 percent consisting of 24 votes opined Zomi as the best acceptable nomenclature for the Zo people. Sisteen votes (31%) go for Mizo and 9 and 3 votes for Kuki and Chin.

Silent Night, Holy Night

One of the Christmas songs, which i like the most is Silent Night. The origin of the Christmas carol we know as Silent Night was a poem that was written in 1816 by an Austrian priest called Joseph Mohr. On Christmas Eve in 1818 in the small alpine village called Oberndorf it is reputed that the organ at St. Nicholas Church had broken. Joseph Mohr gave the poem of Silent Night (Stille Nacht) to his friend Franz Xavier Gruber and the melody for Silent Night was composed with this in mind. The music to Silent Night was therefore intended for a guitar and the simple score was finished in time for Midnight Mass. Silent Night is the most famous Christmas carol of all time!
