One of the Christmas songs, which i like the most is Silent Night. The origin of the Christmas carol we know as Silent Night was a poem that was written in 1816 by an Austrian priest called Joseph Mohr. On Christmas Eve in 1818 in the small alpine village called Oberndorf it is reputed that the organ at St. Nicholas Church had broken. Joseph Mohr gave the poem of Silent Night (Stille Nacht) to his friend Franz Xavier Gruber and the melody for Silent Night was composed with this in mind. The music to Silent Night was therefore intended for a guitar and the simple score was finished in time for Midnight Mass. Silent Night is the most famous Christmas carol of all time!
Silent Night : Lyrics
Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Saviour is born
Christ, the Saviour is born
Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth “
* Words written by Fr. Joseph Mohr in Mariapfarr, Austria - 1816
* Melody added by Franz X. Gruber in Arnsdorf, Austria - 1818
* First performance in Oberndorf, Austria - 1818

Online Public Grievance Lodging and Monitoring System
This is what i tried for my people through the government of India. I poured my grievances through Online Public Grievance Lodging and Monitoring System (http://pgportal.gov.in/) on September 2008. The enquiry hits the Centre Government, the Government of Manipur and at-last the Deputy Commissioner of Churahandpur. The detail report is yet to pop up.
Grievance Description
My Grievance is related to a Famine (alled Mautaam in local dialect) that is occuring in Manipur Hill Areas, specially in Churachandpur District. The people of the Districttried our level best to fight the famine. What bothers me is that, the Government of Manipur is adament in this regards. Rats & grasshopers has harvested all the crops and destroyed the paddy fields, also the flowering of bamboo indicates a serious famine is to follow suit.
Sir, it would be my pleasure, if you could provide me all the funds sanctioned under the perview of Calamities and Rehabilities for the state of Manipur.
Thanking you in anticipation.

My Childhood Christmas Memoirs
When i think of my Childhood Christmas celebrations, I wish I could recall those innocent memories and unforgotable moments. In my imaginations, I can see all my Childhood friend's faces. It scrolls like a photo sliding on a photo frame. I am confuse wher to start and where to end up my writing.
Though I was born in Behiang Village, I do not have any memory of Behiang as we were shifted to Daijang before I can recollect memories. Daijang Village, which we popularly known as the Bethlehem of the Zo people because it is the place where Zomi National Congress was established and the Word ZOMI /Zo was first proclaimed my the Zo leaders.
The farthest event which I can recollect is that, On December 23, my mom took me to Lamka where all my uncles were residing. It was also the first time I saw Lamka in my humble life. By reaching New Lamka I start wondering how would it be, if i ware residing in Lamka town. I saw vehicles, buildings and so many thing which were out of the sight in a village. It was in the year 1980, then I was only 4 years old.
We went direct to Zoveng, where my uncles are staying, by reaching Zoveng, we were warmly greeted by my uncles and aunties. I was asked to tell what I like most which was promised it would be bought. I replied Pistol. Then my uncle took me to old bajar and bought me a two rupees pistol with a dozen of pistol caps. I was so happy and wanted to return home as soon as possible. But I was told that we would be staying one night at my uncle's place. And the next day come. Me and my mom return home.
By reaching home, all my village kids gathered in our home, I was the king on that day. I words were followed by each and everyone... because I have a pistol...........
